Enameled Stamping

StudioL3 Challenge 20 from Tim Holtz's Compendium of Curiosities Vol. 2 is Enameled Stamping, please turn to page 44!
I decided to keep it simple and spooky - it took a few experiments to get the effect I was looking for while still being able to see the image of the creepy kid and the word Haunted.  The best results I found were to start the layering with those two stamps and use a light colored ink for their background.  I also removed some of the embossing powder from that layer to give it a more ethereal scratchy look. For the details of the technique see Tim's book - no spoilers! ;)
Are you haunted?  I'd love to hear your tales of the spooky!
BOO!

  6. Wow, this is great! I love the background! And isn't it funny how just one word determines the whole direction for the tag!? A different word and we probably wouldn't think it looked creepy at all!
