Tissue Wrap Flowers

This week's Studio L3 challenge from Tim Holz's book Compendium of Curiosities, Vol 2, page 37 is tissue wrap flowers.  It is sponsored by the wonderful Funkie Junkie - where you'll find inspiration and supplies galore!
These flowers are so fun to make!  I remember making similar ones when I was little and it brought back a lot of fond childhood memories :) Inspired by Linda at Studio L3, I inked my tissue paper with alcohol inks to make a red white and blue flower for my 4th of July theme.  I have made several with different colors and hope to use them on more projects very soon.  Using the colors makes it fun to see what combinations you can come up with.  The plain white ones with just the text on the tissue paper are gorgeous too.
I used this flower as inspiration to start a banner I'm making for the 4th of  July.   I want to add to it over the next couple of weeks to use for decoration for the holiday.
Challenge yourself to try something new and creative today!
